We recommend something with a little power, a 500 MHz processor or better with a minimum of 128mb ram, 256mb recommended with an 802.11b device be used for best results, the use of an 802.11g device is possible in b mode.

PCI devices allow for attaching high gain antenna, look for one with an RP-SMA connector. USB devices are also very handy to use, they can be put on long extension cables and hung out windows for better reception.

depending how far you are away from the antenna and what obstructions there are in the way will determine what antenna you should use, should it be an indoor or little or no gain or a high gain omni-directional or directional device. we supply up to 9db gain devices for internal use.
