May - Internet @ LUNA
We installed our first FREE NETWORK ACCESS NODE, at
LUNA in Montague Place and what a lovely place it is, caters for about
40 people I think!
Do you want a good meal out with friends? then LUNA
is the place in Worthing West Sussex!.
And now you can sit on the pier in Worthing and surf
the Internet, or on the Beach ;) shops wanting nodes to spread the
connection quality should contact simplywifi.
Devils Dyke - National Trust - www.devilsdyke.net
AKA bubsworld, we all live in our own world
Three weeks ago we installed our first outdoor dual
SSID node up at Devils Dyke Hotel over 670foot above sea-level, free
access to the internet is supplied there.
01/04/06 www.webrental.co.uk
SSID became www.simplywifi.co.uk
Findon Wireless network - covering the valley and
village with 2 ADSL connections into the network. Five MeshAP cover the
area.
03-05/01/06 01:00 - Work on network continues
Every night since Monday upgrades to the Access
Controller have been made, hopefully users haven't noticed the
changeover from user files to the much faster MySQL Database backend.
If you experience any problems with the network then
there is a contact form on the www.simplywifi.co.uk
, please use it to make contact or ask questions about your account. It
should be available at all times so long as the wireless and internet
connections are up and working.
Software and routing changes will continue for the
next week, then we should see a freeze in system status! And begins the
uptime counters current record stands at 107 days between
upgrades.
02/01/06 02:08 - New Welcome page
I'm up late it was new years day! Users will notice
that something changed on the Access Controller, we turned on the
welcome page function to marry up with the new website, account status,
usage logs and more will be available very soon.
01/01/06 - Happy New Year - All systems working
since 8mb line was fixed on the 24th December
New Website is up and running, it only took an entire
2 years and re-registration of the domain before the service was finally
ready for the launch of its www address. Now were just into 2006 and
what better time to launch the online presence, SimplyWifi.co.uk has
been supplying Wireless Internet since 2003 starting on a shared 1mb
ADSL line, we now have 3 ADSL Lines and bandwidth to spare.
24/12/05: BT Fixed the two 8mb ADSL lines- customers
will be happy to know we are now on the new 8mb.
We are working on bonding both 8mb connections to
give the backbone of SimplyWifi.co.uk 16mb in and 1.2mb out of the
network. next phase involves the use of MESH technology - more
importantly the use of AODV Routing, for those not in the know that is
"Advanced On Demand Vector" Routing as used in the MESH System
from Locustworld.
